Gifts from My Mother: Poetry by Sunny Abakwue

Join author Sunny Abakwue and curator Kathryn Gunsch for an evening that connects powerful words to representations of motherhood in the African art galleries at the MFA. Abakwue reads selected poems from his two-volume work, Mother’s Advice, that reflect on the wisdom his mother passed down to him during a childhood affected by war.
