DESCRIPTION:Global Health Catalyst Summit – Harvard Medical School \n \nThe Global Health Catalyst (GHC) summit at Harvard is a unique annual event designed to catalyze\nhigh impact international collaborations to eliminate global health disparities and curb the growing\nburden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs). We currently focus on cancer and mental health. In\nrecent years we have facilitated collaborations to establish or support cancer centers and healthcare\ninstitutions in Low and Middle Income Countries (LMIC) in Africa\, strengthened healthcare systems\nthrough education and training\, and established research collaborations\, disease prevention\, and\nadvocacy programs. Our unique focus on incorporating advanced information and communication\ntechnologies enables us to extend and sustain our collaborative outcomes. By engaging diaspora groups\,\nstakeholders from LMIC and industry leaders in win-win initiatives\, we advance healthcare and\ndevelopment globally.\nThe 2019 Harvard GHC Summit will hold from May 24-26\, 2019 in Boston. Content includes inspiring\ntalks\, leadership training\, panel discussions\, workshops\, awards dinner\, poster session\, networking with\nglobal health and government leaders\, and most importantly\, partnership building. In 2018 we welcomed\nparticipants from over 20 countries. 2019 participants from across the world\, especially USA\, Europe\nand Africa will include leaders of the largest cancer organizations in the USA and Africa\, international\nhealth organizations\, LMIC institutions\, industry\, global health and policy makers including ministers\nand ambassadors. Radiation\, oncology and other health professionals as well as students and trainees\nactively participate. We purposefully engage diaspora leaders\, nonprofit organizations\, and other\nstrategic/community partners interested in global health.
